I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
